AI assistants

Connect Claude or another AI assistant to Pixlova to create your screen templates, and manage or revoke that connection.

Connect Pixlova to Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant compatible with MCP (Model Context Protocol). You describe the screen you want in plain language, and the assistant creates the template in My templates. It acts on your behalf, with your role’s permissions.

Basic and Pro plans

AI assistants are included in the Basic and Pro plans. On the Free plan, the page says so and offers a See plans link. See Plans and billing.

Before you start

  • Your organization must be on the Basic or Pro plan.
  • To authorize an assistant to create and edit templates, your role must allow managing content (Owner, Administrator or Content manager).

Connect Claude

  1. In Pixlova, open Settings › AI assistants (or app.pixlova.com/integrations).
  2. In the MCP server address field, click Copy. The address is https://api.pixlova.com/mcp.
  3. In Claude, open Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, then paste the address.
  4. Click Connect. A Pixlova page opens; sign in if needed.
  5. Check the request (see below), then click Authorize.

You return to Claude, which can now use Pixlova. For example, ask: “Create a portrait screen template announcing our promotions, in our logo’s colors.”

For another MCP-compatible assistant, the steps are the same: add the MCP server address in its connector settings, then authorize the connection in Pixlova.

The authorization page

When an assistant asks to connect, Pixlova shows a Connect “application name” page. It shows:

  • the application’s name and the address you will be sent back to;
  • the list of what the application will be able to do (This application will be able to:);
  • the Organization concerned. If you belong to several organizations, choose it from the list; a grayed-out organization cannot be chosen, and the reason is given (Basic or Pro plan required, role not sufficient or access suspended).

Click Authorize to accept, or Deny.

Only authorize what you have just connected

Only authorize applications you have just connected yourself. If the name or the return address means nothing to you, click Deny.

A connection covers a single organization. To use the assistant with another organization, restart the connection from the assistant and choose the other organization. If you authorize the same application again for the same organization, the new authorization replaces the old one.

If Pixlova shows Request refused or Invalid request, restart the connection from your assistant. For security, Pixlova never redirects to an application it cannot verify.

What the assistant can do

Depending on the permissions granted, the assistant can:

  • read templates: Pixlova templates and your organization’s templates;
  • create and edit templates: create, edit and delete your organization’s templates;
  • list media: your organization’s images and videos, to place them in a template;
  • add images: upload to your library an image it has created. These images are stored in the Images IA folder and count toward your storage.

The assistant has access to nothing else: not your screens, your scheduling or your settings.

It only acts with your role’s permissions, and only in the chosen organization. These permissions are checked again at every action: if your role changes, if you leave the organization or if it goes back to the Free plan, the assistant immediately loses the corresponding access. Changes made by the assistant appear in the organization’s audit log.

View and disconnect your assistants

The Settings › AI assistants page lists connected assistants, with:

  • Application;
  • Permissions granted;
  • Connected on;
  • Last used.

Each member sees their own connections (Your connections). Owners and administrators see all the organization’s connections (Organization connections), with a Person column, and can disconnect other members’ connections.

To revoke access:

  1. Open Settings › AI assistants.
  2. On the application’s row, click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm.

The assistant no longer has access to Pixlova. To use it again, reconnect it from the assistant. Templates already created stay in your organization.
