Scheduling
Decide what to show, on which screens and when.
The Scheduling section of the Pixlova app answers three questions: what to show, where (on which screens) and when. It also shows what your screens are playing today.
It has three pages, available from the menu:
- Today: the day’s timeline, screen by screen, and your latest programs;
- Programs: the list of all your programs, with the Edit, Stop and Delete actions;
- Playlists: your playlists.
Key concepts
Program
A program says what to show, on which screens and when. You create it with the Schedule content assistant, in four steps. It is published as soon as it is created: your screens receive it automatically.
Depending on the time you choose, Pixlova saves your program as a schedule or as a campaign.
Playlist
A playlist loops through images, videos and creations, each for a chosen duration. You then schedule it on your screens like any other content.
Schedule
A schedule is a recurring program: All the time, or Certain days and times (every week, for example Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 12:00). Times follow each screen’s local time.
Campaign
A campaign is a time-limited program: sales, seasonal offer, event. It has a start date and an end date. At the end, each screen goes back to its usual schedule on its own, even offline.
Instant broadcast
An instant broadcast (“Broadcast now”) interrupts a screen’s schedule for a short time, then the screen goes back to its program. You start it from the screen’s page.
Priorities
When several programs fall at the same time on the same screen, only one is shown. The screen picks in this order: Emergency, then Instant broadcast, then Campaign, then Schedule. A campaign therefore always goes before the usual program.
Fallback content
When no program is planned, the screen shows its fallback content if it has one, otherwise a standby screen.
