Monitoring

Keep an eye on your screens, get notified of incidents and act on your players remotely.

Monitoring tells you at any time whether your screens are working as expected, and lets you step in without traveling. You will find it in the Screens section of the application, under the Monitoring and Incidents tabs, and in the Health and commands tab of each screen’s page.

Separate signals, never a single light

Pixlova never sums up a screen’s state with a single green or red light. It shows several separate signals, each with its date and time:

  • Presence: has the player contacted Pixlova recently?
  • Player health: state of the display software (the “renderer”), disk space, memory.
  • Rendering: what the player reports it is playing, and whether the latest schedule has been applied.
  • Output: is the screen connection detected?

These signals complement each other. For example, an offline player can keep playing from its cache, and a detected output does not prove that the screen is on.
