Campaigns
Show content for a limited period, ahead of the usual schedule.
A campaign shows content for a limited period: sales, seasonal offer, event. During that period, it goes before your schedules. At the end, each screen goes back to its usual schedule on its own, even offline.
Create a campaign with the assistant
- Open the Schedule content assistant.
- Choose the content (What step) and the screens (Where step).
- In the When step, choose Over a period.
- Enter the From and To (inclusive) dates. The campaign covers whole days: from 00:00 on the first day until the end of the last day.
- Check Takes precedence over other programs during these slots if this campaign should win over your other campaigns at the same time.
- Click Continue →, check the summary, then publish.
The end date cannot be before the start date, and a period that has already ended is refused.
Campaign states
A campaign’s state depends on the current time:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | The campaign has not been published yet. |
| Scheduled | The campaign is published and will start later. |
| Active | The campaign is playing right now. |
| Ended | The end date has passed. |
| Stopped | The campaign was stopped before its end. |
Stop a campaign
In the program list, click Stop. Screens go back to their usual schedule.
In the advanced editor, the button is called Stop the campaign and asks for confirmation: stopping is final for this version.
The advanced editor
Campaigns created outside the assistant open in the campaign editor, through the Advanced editor button of the program list. There you set:
- Content: click Choose to select an image, a video, a composition or a published playlist;
- Start and End: precise dates and times. They are entered in your browser’s time zone, shown next to the field;
- Priority: Low, Normal, High or Very high. Between two campaigns at the same time, the highest level wins;
- Targets: the sites, groups or screens to include or exclude, as for a schedule.
Then click Save to keep a draft, or Publish to send the campaign to the targeted screens.
