Subscribe and change plans
Move from the Free plan to a paid plan, add screens, change plans and pay online.
Only the Owner and Billing manager roles can subscribe or change plans. Other members can see the plans, but not the purchase buttons.
Move from Free to a paid plan
- Open Settings › Subscription, then click Choose a plan (or open app.pixlova.com/upgrade directly).
- On the Choose your plan page, choose Monthly or Yearly billing, if both are offered.
- On the card of the plan you want, click Switch to Basic or Switch to Pro.
- If you wish, enter a number of Extra screens. The total (number of screens and amount excluding tax) updates.
- Click Continue to payment.
- You are redirected to the secure payment page of Stripe, Pixlova’s payment provider. Enter your payment method and confirm. If you have a promotion code, you can enter it on this page.
You then return to the Subscription page, which shows:
- Payment being confirmed by the provider… for a few seconds;
- then Payment confirmed: your subscription is active.
The plan is activated as soon as the payment is confirmed. If the payment does not go through, the message The payment did not go through. Nothing was charged for this request. is shown and your plan does not change.
Interrupted payment
If you close the payment page before the end, the request stays open: the Subscription page shows Subscription awaiting payment with a Resume payment link.
From the Pixlova website
The buttons of the paid plans on the Pixlova website take you to the application’s sign-in. After signing in (and creating your organization if you are new), you are taken straight to the payment for the chosen plan. See Getting started.
Add screens
On a paid plan, increase the number of Extra screens in the subscription change form (see below) while keeping the same plan.
If the Free plan allows it, its card also shows an Add screens button on the Choose your plan page.
Change plan or screens during a subscription
- Open Settings › Subscription. In the Change subscription box, choose the New plan and the number of Extra screens. You can also click Switch to … on the Choose your plan page: the Change to … box offers the same form.
- Click See details. Pixlova shows the New amount, the current amount and the date the change takes effect.
- Depending on the case, confirm with Confirm and pay or Schedule the change. The Edit button takes you back to the form.
Higher plan: immediate effect
If the change increases your subscription without reducing any capacity (higher plan or more screens), it takes effect immediately. The details show the amount charged now, prorated for the current period, and the next renewal. Click Confirm and pay.
Until the payment is confirmed, your entitlements remain those of your current plan. The Subscription page then shows Plan change awaiting payment.
Lower plan: effect at renewal
Any other change (lower plan, fewer screens) takes effect at the next renewal, with no immediate charge. Your current entitlements remain until then. Click Schedule the change.
If the new plan has fewer screens or sites than you use, the form asks you to choose:
- Which site stays active? (or Sites to keep active): the other sites will become inactive at renewal, their screens will go to standby and their users will be suspended;
- Screens to keep active: the other screens will become inactive at renewal. They stop playing, but their schedule, content and history are kept.
Pixlova never chooses for you. If the new plan’s limits are below your usage (users, storage), nothing is deleted: only additions will be blocked.
Withdraw a scheduled change
A scheduled change appears in the In progress box of the Subscription page (for example “Plan change scheduled on” followed by the date). To withdraw it before the renewal, click Withdraw.
Only one change can be in progress at a time.
Two-factor authentication
To change a subscription, cancel or open invoices, Pixlova may ask you to turn on two-factor authentication on your account first. See the Your account section.
