Create a creation
Create a creation in the right format, find it in the list, duplicate it or delete it.
Create a new creation
- Open Content > Creations (app.pixlova.com/compositions).
- Click + New creation.
- Enter a Name (up to 80 characters).
- Choose a Format:
- Landscape 1920×1080;
- Portrait 1080×1920;
- LED banner 2688×672;
- LED banner 3840×480;
- LED totem 768×2304;
- 4K 3840×2160;
- Custom format…: enter the Width (px) and Height (px).
- Click Create and open the editor. The editor opens on a blank page.
Choose the format of the screen that will show the creation. A custom format accepts 32 to 7680 pixels per side, up to the area of an 8K screen (7680 × 4320). You can still change the dimensions from the editor's Page panel.
Format different from the screen
If the screen does not have the same proportions as the creation, the creation is shown in full, centred, with bars on the sides or at the top and bottom. The preview lets you check this before publishing.
To start from a ready-made layout, click Start from a template instead. See Templates.
Find a creation
The Creations page shows a thumbnail for each creation, with its last modification date. The note "from a template" marks a creation made from a template.
Each creation has a state:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not published yet | The creation has never been published: no screen can show it. |
| Published | The latest published version matches the draft. Hover over the state to see the version number. |
| Unpublished changes | The draft contains changes that are not on the screens yet. |
To filter the list:
- type part of the name in the Search by name field;
- click a state filter: All, Published, Unpublished changes or Not published yet. Each filter shows how many creations it contains.
Click a thumbnail or a name to open the creation in the editor.
Duplicate a creation
Click the Duplicate icon under the thumbnail. The copy appears in the list with a numbered name, for example "Poster (2)". It uses the original's draft and is not published yet.
Save a creation as a template
Click the Save as template icon under the thumbnail. See Templates.
Delete a creation
- Click the Delete icon under the thumbnail.
- Confirm. Published versions stay in the history.
Screens that were showing the creation stop showing it and move on to what the rest of their programming provides.
Live updates
The list updates on its own when a colleague creates, edits or publishes a creation: there is no need to reload the page.
