Sign in
Sign in to Pixlova without a password, with the code or the link received by email, and sign out.
Pixlova does not use passwords. Each time you sign in, you receive an email with a 6-digit code and, once your address has been verified, a sign-in link.
Sign in
- Go to app.pixlova.com.
- Type your address in Email address and click Continue with email.
- The Check your inbox page opens. Keep it open.
- Open the email “Your pixlova sign-in code”, then either:
- type the 6-digit code in Verification code and click Verify email address;
- or click the link in the email (see below).
If two-factor authentication is on, Pixlova then asks for the code from your authenticator app. See Two-factor authentication.
You then arrive on the page you were trying to open, or on the Home page.
The sign-in link
The link is in the email from your second sign-in onwards: the very first email, used to verify your address, only contains the code.
Your mailbox usually opens the link in a new tab. In that case:
- the new tab shows Sign-in confirmed and Your session is unlocked.;
- go back to the Pixlova tab where you requested to sign in: it is now signed in. You can close the link’s tab.
If the original tab has been closed in the meantime, the sign-in simply continues in the link’s tab.
The code and the link only work in the same browser
For security, the code and the link only work in the browser where sign-in was requested. An email forwarded to someone else, or opened on another device, signs no one in.
If you open the link on another device, for example in your phone’s mailbox, the page says: “This link only opens in the browser where sign-in was requested.” You can then:
- go back to the original device and type the 6-digit code there;
- or, to sign in on the device you are using, click Sign in on this device and request a new email.
Reading your emails on your phone
If you request sign-in on your computer and read your emails on your phone, simply type the 6-digit code on the computer.
Your browser must accept cookies for sign-in to work.
Validity of the code and the link
- The code and the link are valid for a limited time, stated in the email.
- Each one can be used only once, and using one makes the other unusable.
- Requesting a new email (Try sending it again) cancels the previous one: only the latest email works.
- After too many wrong codes, the code stops working: request a new email.
If a link has already been used, has expired or was replaced by a more recent email, the page says so. You can still type the 6-digit code on the page where you requested it, or click Sign in on this device to start again.
Email not received
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- On the Check your inbox page, click Try sending it again.
- If the address is wrong, click Change email address.
Emails are sent from Pixlova’s noreply address. See Emails from Pixlova.
Sign out
Click the person icon at the top right, then Sign out.
To sign out your other devices (a shared computer, a lost phone…), use Active sessions in My account.
Your session also ends by itself after a period of inactivity: you then simply sign in again.
Confirming a sensitive action
Some sensitive actions, such as turning two-factor authentication on or off, ask you to confirm your identity again. A Confirm it’s you window opens and a confirmation code is sent to your address (email “pixlova confirmation code”).
- Open your mailbox, in another tab if you like: the window stays open in the application.
- Type the code in Code received by email.
- Click Confirm.
If needed, Send a new code sends another one; only the latest code works.
