Finding your way around

The application's menu, header, settings, site selection and switching between organizations.

The Pixlova application is organized around four sections, a header and a settings area.

The menu

The menu on the left shows your organization’s name and four sections:

SectionTabsWhat you do there
HomeOverview of your screens. See The Home page.
ScreensAll screens, Players, Monitoring, IncidentsAdd and configure your screens and Players, follow their status. See Screens and Monitoring.
ContentMedia, Creations, TemplatesYour media, your visuals and ready-made templates. See Media library and Creations.
SchedulingToday, Programs, PlaylistsWhat plays on which screens and when. See Programming.

Each section groups its pages under tabs, at the top of the page. A number next to Screens shows how many screens have an open incident.

On the free plan, a star next to Templates indicates that templates are included in the Basic and Pro plans.

At the bottom of the menu:

  • Settings opens the settings area.
  • Collapse menu reduces the menu to its icons, to give more room to the page. Click again to expand it. The application remembers your choice in this browser.

The header

From left to right:

  • The Pixlova logo, with your organization’s plan (Free, Basic, Pro). It brings you back to the Home page.
  • Pixlova news (megaphone icon): maintenance notices, new features and information from Pixlova. A counter shows unread messages; opening the panel marks them as read.
  • The clock: the date and time.
  • The site selector (see below).
  • The account menu (person icon).

Choosing a site

If your organization has several sites, the site selector at the top of the page filters the Home page and the screens pages. Choose All sites to see everything again. If your organization has 7 sites or more, a search field lets you find a site by typing part of its name (accents and capitals do not matter).

  • With a single site, the selector simply shows its name.
  • On the content, scheduling and settings pages, the selector shows Scope: Whole organization: these pages are shared by all sites. Content belongs to the whole organization and is shared by all sites and all users.
  • If you only have access to some sites, the selector shows All my sites and the number of sites assigned to you.

To create and manage sites, see Organization.

The account menu

The person icon at the top right shows your name and your role, then:

  • My account and settings: opens My account.
  • The list of your organizations, if you belong to several: click one to switch to it. You arrive on its Home page.
  • New organization: creates another organization, if your account allows it.
  • Sign out.

Settings

Settings, at the bottom of the menu, brings together your personal account and your organization’s settings, as tabs. Each person only sees the tabs they are allowed to open.

  • Read-only account: changes are suspended for your organization; your screens keep showing their programs. Contact Pixlova to find out more.
